Project goal: establishment of an integrated enterprise to produce low-rise, ecologically safe housing from solid wood and glued construction structures.
Project description:
The project includes implementation of development projects on establishing residential neighborhoods and sales of modern Eco-houses through the network of real estate companies in the North-western federal district.
Interregional project of low-rise wooden house building is, first and foremost, the organization of work of a number of enterprises that provide for the whole technological cycle from harvesting to production of finished-product output and waste processing, from sales to ultimate buyer to utilization.
Structure of enterprises and departments:
1. Lessee enterprises and forest owners
2. Harvesting enterprises that provide harvesting at the amount of 150 – 250 thousand cubic meters per year. They build their work on the modern assortment technology and use ‘Ponsse’ and ‘John Deer’ machines.
3. Reforestation areas that guarantee forest planting. Updated technologies of Swedish company “Brake” are used.
4. Transport departments that support delivery of timber from the forest to warehouse of harvesting enterprises.
5. Sawlog processing enterprises that include converted timber drying and waste recycling.
6. Two house building companies are involved in the production of wooden glued structures, wooden doors and windows from European square logs (over 40 thousand cubic meters per year), production of Eco-houses from wooden glued structures with the overall production of over 100 000 square meters of housing per year using up-to-dated European technologies.
7. Regional development companies realize project from individual house building to construction of residential areas and cottage settlements.
8. Network of real estate companies sell ready-made housing units and form individual orders.
9. Trading house supply domestic and export sales of the enterprises.
Project geography:
- Harvesting is organized in the Republic of Karelia and Vologda region.
- Industrial wood production is organized in the Republic of Karelia and Vologda region.
- House productions is planned to be organized in Petrozavodsk on the premises of the former concrete-steel construction works.
- End product sales are planned to be carried out on the territory of the North-western federal district of Russia and EU countries.
Level of project readiness: Available production and raw material base, finished business plan, technologies and business contacts predetermine fast start of the project and end product release.
